Reading Round Up: Bone Soup Edition

Bucolic Bushwick 2010 Pepper Seedlings

You know what I'm looking forward to more than Christmas or the New Year?  Winter solstice!  Lack of sunlight is really getting to me.  My productivity is way down, all I want to do is eat comfort food and sleep.  I'm seriously considering buying a small grow light system or maybe an Aerogarden so I can still enjoy vegetable gardening in the winter.  Paying extra attention to my houseplants is just not cutting it.  Anyway, onto to the links:

You can get high on nutmeg, but only after suffering from severe nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.  Sadly, this will probably not stop people from trying it.

Pizzerias thrive in the Great Recession.  What about beer?  Is that still considered recession-proof?

Leaked document shows EPA allowed bee-toxic pesticide despite own scientists’ red flags

47 Cops nearly killed by tuna sandwiches.

No, plants cannot have it all.  Plants can grow quickly or ward off hungry insects, but not both.
