Reading Round Up: Bone Soup Edition
You know what I'm looking forward to more than Christmas or the New Year? Winter solstice! Lack of sunlight is really getting to me. My productivity is way down, all I want to do is eat comfort food and sleep. I'm seriously considering buying a small grow light system or maybe an Aerogarden so I can still enjoy vegetable gardening in the winter. Paying extra attention to my houseplants is just not cutting it. Anyway, onto to the links:

Vegetable Harvest Report Final 2010
Peas: 3.5 ounces
Alright, so this is the last of the harvest for 2010. The rooftop vegetable garden is closed for the winter. I'm glad it's over because the weather up there is brutal! The wind burns your face and numbs your fingers within minutes. My gardening enjoyment declined precipitously with the colder temperatures so I've decided my cutoff date for all future rooftop gardening activities will be November 15th.
Here are the final numbers:
Cherry Tomato (Gold Nugget): 10 pounds, 4.6 ounces
Cucumber (H-19 Little Leaf): 5 pounds, 4.5 ounces
Cantaloupe (Halona F1): 5 pounds, 4.7 ounces
Eggplant (Gretel F1, Top Container Seed): 7 pounds, 11.7 ounces
Hot Pepper (Padron): 2 pounds, 3.1 ounces
