Whittling Down

Another week passes and a few more plants are retired from the garden.

The Planet F1 pepper plants were removed this weekend, I didn't think there was enough light and heat left in the season to make the last peppers turn red, so that just leaves 2 tomato plants on this side of the roof.

Jasper F1 cherry tomato.

Japanese Black Trifele tomato.

The last Giant Aconcagua pepper plant was removed leaving just one tomato plant, Beaver Lodge, on this section of the roof.

Butterbean soybeans.

Several handfuls of pods are left on the plants. I'm going to give them a few more days to plump up before harvesting.

Cosmonaut Volkov tomato plant on its last legs.

I wish the last 2 tomatoes would ripen already, this plant needs to be put out of its misery.

More containers drying out in the sun.

September 12-18:

Soybean (Butterbean): 2.625 ounces

Sweet Pepper (Giant Aconcagua): 5.5 ounces

Sweet Pepper (Planet F1): 3.625 ounces

Total Harvest: 2 pounds, 11.0 ounces
