Indian Summer?

October is here, but daytime temps are still touching the low 70's, so the majority of the garden is still doing well. All the peppers plants are still here, which I'm incredibly happy about. The last time any pepper plant lasted this long on the roof was in 2010, my top harvest year. If the weather holds I think this year might be my second best!

Sunsugar F1 cherry tomato

Little Baby Flower F1 watermelon. I put the greenhouse back on to give the last fruit some wind protection. Once it gets colder I'll add the top too. If this fruit matures I'll be eating fresh watermelon around Halloween, how cool is that!

Orange Blaze F1 peppers

A few are even turning color.

Beaverlodge tomato

Orient Express F1 eggplant

I hear this weekend overnight temps will hit the 40's so this plant will probably be gone by the next plant update, but it had a great run. Eggplant in October! This summer has been unbelievable.

Bush Goliath F1 tomato

Giant Aconcagua peppers. Some more green peppers have appeared. I hope they get to a decent size before it gets too cold & windy up here.

Pink Berkeley Tie Dye tomato

There's not enough going on in the garden to warrant a weekly update so I'm switching to a bi-weekly schedule. The next plant update will be on the 16th.

Cherry Tomato (Sunsugar F1): 1.25 ounces
